I am so addicted to this series!! I love watching how the characters develop in this series, it is so mind boggling and it totally will get you hooked!!

After reading the novel and all of these reviews, frankly I'm taken aback that so few people sided with Richard to win. Maybe it's because I see so much of myself in him. Anita isn't very likable, the only thing that made her somewhat likable were her feelings for Richard-but then she's a total wimp ass about him in the end. Anita isn't very likable, the only thing that made her somewhat likable were her feelings for Richard-but then she's a total wimp ass about him in the end. I wish I could burn my copy of Midnight Cafe-thats how much I hated these books-but I'd rather get some money from them. The only reason I got them was because someone compared them to the Sookie Stakehouse series. Does not even come close IMO. I really don't want to read this. Got it free from a book club and what I've seen from her other writing-I'm not going to like it. But I have nothing to read right now :(   hide

Awesome series

This was my favorite book so far in this series.

Its horrid,gross,thrilling,shocking with great dry/black humour all at the same time. Anita's love triangle with Richard (the wolf dude) and Jean-Claude (french vampire guy) is the main focus of the story. So its like is she going to stay with the wolf or is she finaly going to let her gard down and fall for the vampire. This is the 6th novel and personaly I think the first UK book cover (2001) was the best one.   hide
