Book was too short and had no real story; definitely a sign of things to come in this series. And full price for a book that was only a few hundred pages and had print that you could read from across the room?!

As the 13th installment to the Anita Blake series, this addition seems to have lost the personality to Anita and instead has her running around like a harlet between the other characters I've grown to enjoy. A bit of a let down.At least with the release of this installment, Marvel Comics agreed to start the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter comic book series in 2006. The comic book series is living...more

I admit it, I have a weakness for trashy vampire novels. I burned out on Laurel K Hamilton a couple of years ago, but decided to pick up a few of them because I found them for $1 each at a used book store. As I drag myself through text that is interrupted with overly long sex scenes every 15 pages, I'm reminded of why I stopped reading in the first place. Also? Laurel K. seriously needs to...more

Micah became my favorite character with his story, right after my crush on Nathaniel who I could just take home and keep all to myself!

This book was a nice break from the other Anita Blake books. All of the other books have multiple plot-lines, characters from all over the place, and it can be difficult to keep track of. Micah is a simple, one plot-line short book. It reminds me of the first few Anita Blake books I read where there aren't a million people to keep track of. Micah is an easy read with a good story.

Meh. Needs more supernatural action and less romance.

I really enjoyed getting to learn more about the character of Micah. It helps the plot to have meaning behind the characters that truly their own and not just what they can do for Anita or through Anita. It was a little short of a read for a LKH book, but I loved it all the same.
