my favourite is jane eyre, although it was a sad tale,(cried a bit). i mean after all that tragedy one would want a very happy ending......but i guess she tried to make it real, coz it would have been to fairytale like for them to have a perfect life together. Villette is somewhat similar but the ending is deinately different than jane eyre

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant :) As jy hou van viktoriaanse literatuur. Ek is mal oor die Bronte susters - hulle het (veral Emily en Charlotte) baie gedoen vir moderne digkuns. Ek hoop die lewe behandel jou goed. Jy verdien dit want jy is 'n fantastiese mens. :) R

I only read Jane Eyre and The Professor for Charlotte Bronte and the Wuthering Heights for Emily Bronte. I love Charlotte more. I do not like the world of Emirly Bronte. But I like Charlotte's.

Amazing. Charlotte is an insparational author. Her work is "polished" as it were and exeptional. Emily's is passionate and somewhat brash for that era, but still breathtaking. Anne's is more subdued, although her subjects not so very well chosen, but still amazing. I FREAKING LOVE THEIR BOOKS!!!
