After everything I've read on the subjects over the years, fact, fiction, theories that conspire and those that speculate, it was pretty cool to read all the threads weft together in such a plausible way. My only disappointment - the final twist which I'd seen coming for most of the book, but didn't want to believe because... Well, I'm not sure. Maybe it's because it was the most obvious conclusion, and with earlier twists in the plot and back again, some of which took me by complete surprise, I figured Dan Brown would have one last surprise, and for me, that wasn't it   hide

This ISBN actually refers to "Angels and Demons".

The first of the Dan Brown books I read, and was totally enthralled by it. It put into words things I had long thought, and made them seem sensible. Like all the best books this is a well written 'fantasy' woven around a seed of well researched fact.
