more I found the book Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to be a surprisingly enjoyable read. Although the old Southern language is occasionally difficult to understand, I got used to it after a while and it did not distract from the plot of the book. I think many of the themes were easy to relate to, such as the ideas of independance and standing up for what you believe in. At some point in their life, every person has to break free from whatever is holding them back, has to go their own way. Also, Huckleberry Finn is considered to be disobedient and unruly, but everything he does that is against the rules is done with purpose - he is, in reality, a rebel with a cause. I found the character of Huck Finn likeable and admirable, and the book eventful and, at times when it was slightly more slow moving, pleasantly descriptive and a nice change of pace. I would rate this book 9 out of 10 - NINA BOZIC
