This truly is a classic book. Mary Shelley was pitch perfect when she constructed the brooding, mysterious, gothic nature of this book. Her anti-industrial sentiments and romantic style can be seen throughout the book. More important than crafting a beautiful gothic novel, her story also had an effect on following writers, and spawned various film, theater, audio, and horror stories.
