Wuthering Heights

Is the first classic I ever read, and I know I missed a lot the first time I read it, so I just started it over again. The story is amazing and beautifully written, two tortured souls devided by social structure. I have been carried away by the wind of the Yorkshire moors but in complete awe of the power of love!!

The movie from this book is my all time favorite movie. I saw it when I was 14, and remembered it almost word for word. I saw it again 40 years later and was just as thrilled as when a teenager. The book does not portray Heathcliff as sympatheticly as the movie; but the story does not suffer. It is my very favorite book and I got it, also, from a thrift shop.

One of my all time favorites, Ghost story, love story, tragedy.
