Anne of the Island (Anne of Green Gables)

This book is my favorite of the series, followed by Anne's House of Dreams...I love how Anne gets to go away on her own and live with the other girls and have all those experiences, it's something every girl should do!! Plus, who can resist the love story between her and Gilbert, those last couple of chapters bring me to tears just about every time!

Escapism par excellence. (Sigh.)

My favorite of the Anne books. I love the college years, the many proposals, and of course the thrilling last few pages!

By far the best Anne book! I love reading about all of Anne's adventures, but this one is my favorite. I can safely proclaim myself madly in love with Gilbert Blythe.
