Personally, I believe that this is the best translation of the book. I compared all the other versions. Alexandre Dumas is a literary genius. The book starts out with 19-year-old d'Artagnan who leaves his hometown and sets out to Paris in hopes of becoming a musketeer. He joins Athos, Porthos, and Aramis on their adventures as musketeers. The plot is filled with action, romance, suspense, and intrigue. All of the great qualities of writing made this book a literary classic. I don't want to give too much away because I don't want to spoil the excitement. You have to read it to believe it!
