This is a great story..very touching with a twist of humor and tragedy. I never thought in the end of the story I would symphatize with Gringoire.. he didn't look much appealing at first. Victor Hugo is such a great writer.
This, too, is one of my favorite Hugo novels. I have yet to see a movie version that does justice to the book's complexity of characters, especially those of the evil priest and Quasimodo.
