He was reluctantly forced to work with his arch-enemy in KGB, who happened to have had his wife killed during the Soviet’s occupation period of Eastern Europe. Together, they uncovered Matarese circle of secret members aiming for world domination by winning the next US presidency.
As always, the good triumphed and brought down the Shepherd Boy, the main villain behind the circle. There was a love interest brought about between the main character and one of the victim rescued. The earlier antagonism between the two main characters was more interesting than the latter half where predictability prevails, i.e. the professionals knew exactly what to do and how to proceed. Other than that, it’s vintage Ludlum with rather predictable plot and story flow.
