The book is well written.... almost TOO well written. I listened to the book on CDs, and it was a total of 18 discs. The average length of books that I listen to are 8 CDs. Honestly, this book could have been consolidated down to 10 discs worth of material. Very wordy. And for those of you that are fans of the movie, this has very little similarity to the motion picture. The opening ten minutes... and the two cities where the bulk of the book take place. One of the few books that I have read where the movie is better. Simplistic plot and the characters are cartoonish in their motivations. Not a great read.
