The book is a little hard to follow at first with the many similar characters but come chapter 2 & 3 everything seems to fall into place. Unfortunately, I just didn't buy the situations involved. Unfortunately, I just didn't buy the situations involved. For a group of people who are described as being extremely intelligent and being really really good friends, it's a little odd that a simple cryptic phone call here or message there would have any affect on these people other than to have them go "what the f*@% was that supposed to be about?"
I know what Ludlum was trying to go for, I just don't think he truly pulled it off.
If you can get past that, The Osterman Weekend is a simple yet enjoyable read. Not Ludlum's best, but you'll find much worse.
