One of my fav. authors and one of his best books. Focus on a case of discrimination inside the Citadel, a high-profile military academy in the U.S.

Fairly long but a fast read, very interesting and fast paced..apart for sections where conroy gets a little wordy.  From the half-way point on its great; really brutal story telling of life in military school.  Conroy's great at keeping it interesting and fresh.
