As w/ all Louis Lamour this book was exceptional, he always manages to create a new story w/ fascinating characters w/ lots of twists & turns leaving you always wanting more!

This is one of those books where the worst part is finishing it and hoping the next book you read is on the same level. I found my thoughts constantly wandering back to it until I finished it and could hardly tear myself away to begin with. It is really beautifully written and a wonderful sample of Louis L'Amour's writing style. The Lonesome Gods is a book that will keep pulling you back...more

kept my interest, which sounds like quite a feat for a western frontier. the ending felt kind of drawn out yet rushed at the same time? not usually my type of read but actually kept my interest... good lessons

This is a great book. There are some really good lessons about what pride and hatred can do to you. I liked when Elena told Don Federico to go and make somthing of himself, rather than focusing on this inheritance that he is never going to recieve. I read this on the recommendation of Thomas Jefferson Education. This book has some interesting themes in it. I liked it, although I'm not much for Westerns.
