This is my "in the car" book. When I've got a minute (or two) I pull this out and I'm reminded of what living life to the full is all about. Louis L'Amour is one of my favourite authors. While he's most often remembered for his spaghetti western genre, he has written some other historically-rich fiction. The Walking Drum is my all-time favourite. (I won't describe it, here.) L'Amour lived the lives he writes about. These memoirs describe how he left home - and formal education - to be educated in life. His travels took him just about everywhere you could imagine. His life experiences and his own love for reading formed the foundation for his incredible writing.   hide
