I wanted to say 'Heck No!' but there didn't seem to be an option for a review. Tried to read this book, and finally gave up. Have not seen the film, but have heard that it is a lot different than the book. Have seen the two other Bourne films, but have not read those books. In fact, not sure if I have ever read Ludlum. Here's the thing - the film would have to be different, if only for the unreadable dialogs, with the irritating italics and other attempts to inject expression. Arghhh!!! It was sooooooo bad. Gave up after about 30 pages. I'll see the film, thank you very much, and I will give all other Ludlum books a pass as well. Who is his editor? Does he refuse to have an editor? Has he become so arrogant that he doesn't think he needs one?   hide

I read it in high school, when my standards were a bit lower, but I was fascinated by its portrayal of the 'superspy' in his 50s. Few books have such a potentially interesting character. Who the hell wrote the movie!!. What on earth was it based on :)?. Spoilers aside, this is bags better :). Drags a little in places (Tom clancy style, you dont want to know how the engine works, you just want it to work), but it's a cracking read!

Best by far. I cannot even begin to describe how much this book enthralled me. It was quick, desperate, and the pain Bourne ahd to go through was just displayed so well. I felt so bad for him....and you were so scared for the kids, too. The book was amazing. I'm so glad I read it...much better than the previous two!
