I have just read all of his books - yes from book 1 - where it all started with good old pug etc. and I love his style of writing. trouble is now that I have read all is that I have to wait until he writes some more!!
Again, Janny Wurts and Raymond Feist did their best work with these series. This book takes the heroine from Daughter of the Empire and matures her, still keeping us interested in The Great Game.
This trilogy really is worth reading even if you're not a great fan of the fantasy genre. The writing has a depth and warmth that rarely graces the pages of fantasy novels.
I found myself completely absorbed in the lead character's world and I actually cared what happened to many of the supporting characters.
I suspect much of this is down to Janny Wurtz as I've found some of her solo...more
