Typical Asimov - slow - but still interesting.  They are way in the future - but there is no Internet, even the robots are not wirelessly connected, how did he miss that?  We all did! Except for Vinge.

In the beginning it seems a little weaker than its predecessors (caves of steel and naked sun) but the ending is just so god that your faith in asimov is restored

Not as much fun as the earlier Robot novels. This is more ... philosophical in nature... BUT the end is explosive and awesome...

I wish Isaac Asimov had been an unscrupulous hack, so he could have cashed out and written 100 of these Baley/Olivaw mysteries instead of 3.
