Life changing for me in my early twenties!

really interesting story set in the future - some of it was a bit disturbing, but i can be oversensitive

One of my all time favorite books! It is a little out there, but if you are from California, it may definitely appeal to you (as it is set in Cali). It is about a different sort of future, one I think is a lot more realistic than a lot of sci-fi's out there. One of my all time favorite books! It is a little out there, but if you are from California, it may definitely appeal to you (as it is set in Cali). It is about a different sort of future, one I think is a lot more realistic than a lot of sci-fi's out there. It is about our society destroying itself through using up our resources and destroying the one's we have and attacking each other and trying to destroy each other using new technologies and how one group actually learns from these past mistakes and attempts to make a better future.   hide

A fantasy set in the future when most people have a hard time living because greedy people have taken over the world almost completely.This fantasy is interesting because it includes Starhawk's views on peacemaking and living in harmony witth the Earth. The writing isn't fantastic, be ideas sure are.

Starhawk's first attempt at fiction is a gem of a sci-fi thriller. Set in San Francisco in the mid-21st century, it depicts a future community united by desire for a better world that finds itself locked in a desperate struggle for survival against the remnants of the old order.

Love her utopian idealism!
