It's so sad when books with good lessons are written so badly--perhaps to reach the same constituent that liked speeches by George W. Bush. It has a message we all could use to learn, but the delivery is so poor it obscures the point. The dialogue is sophomoric and stinted (on purpose?). The entire story could be written in a chapter, but the author drags it out, repeats it...

The entire story could be written in a chapter, but the author drags it out, repeats it and repeats it again, presumably to tell us, tell us, and tell us again so it sinks in.
