Much like its predecessor, Snow Crash, The Diamond Age took a bit to really get into. However, once hooked, the novel was a constant companion - peeks were sneaked whenever I had a spare moment. Though this novel is relatively information-dense, the depth of Stephenson's world is awe inspiring, and once the fundamentals are grasped the book reads fairly smoothly. For all you...more

Just a brilliant novel.  A very intelligent analysis of a post-nano world, and an analysis of psychological/sociological development.

Beguiling view of the future. I always enjoy how Neal Stephenson does not explain everything as it comes, but immerses you in the culture he's created. Great storytelling, but overall, I got the impression that he enjoyed telling the story much more than finishing it, as the ending felt rushed compared to the rest of the tale.
