the first half was poor, and the tone jumped all over the place, but once it got into its stride and realised that it was just a zombie-filled romp it was pretty good.
I'm hooked. The hero's reluctance tends to agitate the likes of me, but the imagery is so powerful and the storyline so imaginative that flaws such as personal disdain for certain archetypes are mere bumps down a truly fantastic road.
I thought this was a damn good read. Took a bit of time to get going, but wonderfull characters, thought provoking imagery and a reluctant hero.
Will defintely be reading the rest of this trilogy when released.
