Definitely not as good as the first book, but not terrible. It was lacking interesting characters and was a bit boring.

I really liked this edition to the Odd Thomas series. The humor is still present as is the brilliant use of Elvis. I especially liked it because the story is completely different from the original Odd Thomas. It takes place over a single day, focuses on only a handful of people, and it's a comparitively quiet incident compared the ending of "Odd Thomas." Most authors follow a...more

An entertaining read, not as good as "Odd Thomas" (the first book in the series) but I so wish Koontz would stop describing in minute detail every tree and tree leaf his characters come across. That's just tedious.

A huge step down from the first book in this series. It's as if Mr. Koontz started with a nice short story, and then went back and added enough filler to stretch it to novel length.
