A great start to the series. Barron really succeeds at matching Austen's tone. If you're stuck cause there are no more Austens to read, try these.

Mysteries are my favorite "brain candy", so that's a good start. I love Jane Austen enough that fiction about her can go bad very quickly. This series stays fairly true to what I imagine Jane was like, & the mystery aspects are pretty good, too. I wish Stephanie Barron would write more.
