A great Sci-Fi collection (Hyperion & Endymion). Some lengths in the novel, but the universe created by Dan Simmons is awesome, to say the least. From the bone chilling horrors of the priest crucifying himself in a hellish burning forest to avoid resurrection, and ending with the poetic beauty of "Life 2.0" in the Fall of Endymion, this book collection is worth every moment reading it.

Even more challenging for the mind than the previous two books in the series... I don't remember where the dyson sphere made of trees is in this book or in the next one, but it simply was a direct hit. It stays into my brain even now, and it's years since I first read it.

Despite the creepy pedophilic relationship between the two leads, this novel does a good job of continuing the previous stories. As with the last set, it is only half the tale. Geek reading deluxe.

I did not love this one as much as the first two , which are complete story by themselves. The original duology was modeled after the Canterbury Tales. This and it's sequel the Rise of Endymion seemed like to be modeled on the publishing industry's need to cash in on past laurels.
