The Rise of Endymion

Epic, I haven't enjoyed a book as much in a long long time. Took me back to my Asimov Foundation experiences

A good end to the Hyperion series, it does wrap a lot of things up. It has a somewhat bitter sweet ending which will put you through an emotional rollercoster when you're reading it. A good end to the Hyperion series, it does wrap a lot of things up. It has a somewhat bitter sweet ending which will put you through an emotional rollercoster when you're reading it. Overall a good book, but I do wish the origins of the Shrike and more mysteries about the technocore were explained in more detail. You get really tired of the dialog between Anea and Raul with her going, "I'll explain another time." It also gets slow at a few points when it goes on about details of the catholic church, but so does Endymion.   hide

Needs more sex. 500 pages too long, yet now I am disappointed that it is over. What's that all about?
