Overall a good book, but I do wish the origins of the Shrike and more mysteries about the technocore were explained in more detail. You get really tired of the dialog between Anea and Raul with her going, "I'll explain another time." It also gets slow at a few points when it goes on about details of the catholic church, but so does Endymion.
