A lot of fun! Throughly enjoyed this book. I have found that books set in historical times can be a little tedious, but this one is light and funny. The little historical details only added to it.

A charming light book. Victorian stuff more successful than time-travel aspect.

Highly enjoyable time travel mystery set (mostly) in Victorian England. Funny and clever.

I prefer this to Willis' more recent work Passage. It's funnier and seems to flow more naturally - if you can imagine movie based on Jane Austen's works complete with hapless British heroes, but with time travel (and in book form), this is what you get. History buffs, fans of adventure or sci-fi should find it enjoyable!

A little repetitive at times, but it is a classic English farce about time travel and Victorian England.

Imprescindible!

Very clever and entertaining. Made me seek out the original story by Jerome K Jerome "Three Men in a Boat," which was also great.
