A great conclusion to a duology that finally puts and end to the New Republic-Imperial conflict as most fans know it.

Pretty cool how much it ties in to the other Zahn novels.  Little bits and pieces that don't seem like anything of importance come back from nowhere in later books.  Several surprise twists in the plot and excellent character development (except maybe with Ghent - wish he was a little more involved).  Got a little tired of clones by the end of it though.

The conclusion of the Galactic Civil war and the book following 'Specter of the Past'. Recommend for fans of Zahn or his characters.

I loved these books to death when I was younger, thought they were the best books ever. Found them on my cousin's book shelf a while back and read them again, I still like Zahn they just didn't tickle me the same.
