Really interesting book about climate change. Robinson gets a lot of the details about Arlington County, VA completely correct.

I enjoyed this and the idea of his life in the park and his treehouse struck a real resonance with me. Practical. Only problem with any story about global warming is the reality that although catastrophe may come quickly, turning the problem around will take many years. But I enjoyed the book. Great author.

Good story, but even more interesting are the ideas the author brings together to move the story along. Not just the same climate change stats, but political science, biosociology, and economics. Fun stuff.

After reading this second book of the series, I realize that I'm not enjoying it as much as I did Robinson's MARS trilogy. However, it is still good. Robinson typically devotes large sections of his books to single characters, although those characters still interact with most that were introduced at the beginning of the series. This one centers on Frank, whereas the last book centered...more

I am rereading this series. Maybe not great novels, but a marvelous intruction to climate change. I like how he thinks science, change and society.

I'm hoping this is like the all stories where there is a 2nd of 3 books. I thought this story dragged aand dragged. Found it boring in fact. I hope the story and action pick up in the last book.

As with the first of the trilogy, although possibly more pronounced, an interesting concept and a reasonably well told story. Unfortunately, the characters aren't very interesting, and some of the story lines seem a little far fetched. Good enough that I'm inclined to finish the trilogy. Not good enough that I would go out of my way to recommend it.

Reading in suspense, if for reality or the book I do not know... Again, this second part of the trilogy is not as great as the Mars trilogy, but still strong and well researched Sci-fi.

A fascinating eco-thriller and well-researched (as Robinson's books always are). The agenda lists, however, may put off some people. It also suffers some typical weaknesses of the middle book in a trilogy.

Good, short on action, long on climateology and policy in a typical Kim Stanley Robinson style.
