I just don't get it.  Some of Ms. Johansen's books are wonderful and some are just painful to read.  This is one of those.   

I am about 1/3 of the way finished, but am not going to complete this book.  What a disappointment.  If I wanted smaltzy romance, then I would read a smaltzy romance novel....
