The Privilege of the Sword

A nicely written fantasy novel, with a well developed sense of drama. The only negative point is that this book could have easily been stretched out to a trilogy. The ending feels rushed, but completes the story with no loose ends.

No es una novela de fantasía al uso: el único elemento fantástico, quizá, es el lugar en el que se ubica la historia (aunque podría ser cualquier sociedad europea, dieciochesca y libertina). Ágil, entretenida, muy bien contada. El ritmo es perfecto, y hasta las escenas de sexo más delicadas están descritas con una elegancia muy poco habitual.

I picked it up and couldn't put it down. It's very well written. I loved it.
