I enjoy many of the authors of this genre, and after reading Exit Strategy I tried this series- but didn't like it. Couldn't loose myself in this one, not rich enough.

I read it all the way through but......people not from New England shouldn't write books set in New England if I can tell they're not from New England by the end of Chapter 2 :P Oh, and MIT is just down the street from Harvard, and looks even better on a CompSci resume......

Kelley Armstrong is a progeny when it comes to supernatural writing. Her books leave you breathless with their racy romances, the constant struggles, and the exciting stories. She does all of this effortlessly and you have no choice but to plummet without stumbling straight into her world. She has created such a strong presence in all of her characters that everything about them makes them seem...more

This was the first book I picked up by Kelley Armstrong. I was browsing through the shelves in my local bookstore, and having an affinity for paranormals and magic, the title is what caught my eye. I didn't realize until later that this is actually the 3rd book in the series! The nice think about it is you can read the series books out of order but still know what is going on. Characters from...more

Another wonderful book by Kelly Armstrong. I was afraid that I would miss Elena and Clay, but it did not happen. Paige is an interesting character and she is not boring one bit. I love the new character, Lucas and what he stands for. This book is a wonderful read which will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Hard to get through, the action had too much going on to follow, but I do realize that this book is a stepping stone to the future novels in this series of Otherworld books. Not to say that I didn't like it, I did, but not as much as the first two- Bitten, & Stolen and I even like Industrial Magic, which I have just begun even better.

Again another gripping read. This time Kelley's changed the protagonist to a witch. It still interlinks with the characters from the other novels so you don't miss your favourite characters for too long.

Disappointing. Laurell K. Hamilton, Simon R. Green, Jim Butcher and others write the same sort of story in a much more satisfying way. Armstrong fails to describe the magic that her main characters are so talented in casting, making every spell seem as easy as pressing a button on your game console during a Final Fantasy or Breath of Fire adventure. The characters are all incredibly standard,...more
