Koontz develops Joe's character perfectly. You really feel for this character as he struggles to get on with life after the death of his wife and daughters after they died in a plane crash, but then you really start to cheer for him once he is shot at at the cemetery. This is best book by Dean Koontz I have read so far.

Like other Koontz books, I found the characters likable and well-developed and liked the suspense. The one drawback was an ending that felt a bit rushed, jumping from an edge-of-your-seat chase to a peaceful epilogue.

This one started out a little slow at the very beginning then it became interesting really quick. A nice middle score book for DK the characters were not as amazing as some of his other books. The enemy at the end was tragic and evil at the same time. It was one of DK creepiest villains yet.

The frst Koontz book I ever read. I picked it up in an airport bookstore when I was traveling. I started reading it on the plane...and it's about a plane crash! Nevertheless, I became hooked on Dean Koontz storytelling, descriptions, and imagination.

This was a great book. As always, Koontz takes you through a labrinth of theological questions and ends up leaving you guessing. This book is another example of how he manages to mash as many genres as he can into one book.
