It was interesting in the beginning, made you think of people that you know and their personality...and then it just got too redundant and sloppy towads the end of the book

A very good book to read. Talks about how our brain and body reacts to our environment. It also discussion empathy and compassion in different relationships.

In particular, how just a simple act of smiling is contagious and try to explains why it is.

Completed. Finished.Admittedly was a heavy read. But well worth it. I have bought Emotional Intelligence now. Excited to start...more

This book fills in wonderfully the niche for serious research in the field of human relationships! It's great for understanding the importance of human connectedness and it's affect on the over all health of a person! Often considered a "soft science" the new field of research in "Social Intelligence" is much needed in today's evolving society where social interaction often takes the back seat...more

Daniel Goleman is one of my favourite author. The way he wrote make it easier for us to understand such a deep book like this. This is about our Social Intelligence. Our EQ not our IQ.

This is in my opinion the best in the Emotional Intelligence series by Goleman. In this easy to read practical book Goleman clearly defines social intelligence as a set of skills/processes that enable us to relate to other humans for better or for worse.
