I enjoyed this biography for two reasons. 1) I learned a lot about mental illness, who it is treated, and how we treat people living with it.
2) Holland doesn't present herself as the perfect person. She is opinonated, strong willed, completely human. You will read about her triumphs, screw ups, wars with other staff members, and the loss of her mentor and best friend.
This book was compelling, held my interest, and was great insight to a world I will hopefully never have to see.
