I thought that this story was as scary as the episode "Blink". Thats how good it is.

Well written, but lacks the intense intelligence of The Doctor by Terrance Dicks.
 The Doctor is shown in a far poorer light. His humor gets boring at times when you expect more intelligence from him during the course of the book.
 Moreover, during the end (warning- Spoiler alert!), how do the Cynrogs get so patient and explain everything in detail to the doctor just before...more
 Well written, but lacks the intense intelligence of The Doctor by Terrance Dicks.
 The Doctor is shown in a far poorer light. His humor gets boring at times when you expect more intelligence from him during the course of the book.
 Moreover, during the end (warning- Spoiler alert!), how do the Cynrogs get so patient and explain everything in detail to the doctor just before (uhm..) trying to kill him?
 That is the silliest aspect of the book.
 However, let me tell you- Mike Tucker is highly regarded for his Doctor Who novels and this is one of those books that is actually an exciting read! 
 Doctor Who fans out there.. This is worth your time. Atleast once!   hide

This is the first of the Dr novelisations I have read and I really enjoyed it. The author has really captured the characters well and the story is interesting.

Great! I loved it, even kept up with the 10th doctors sugar addicted personality! And the story was gripping and intresting, follows right along as a gap between episodes.
