So good it nearly killed me. In a daze afterwards, i stepped into Haymarket and was pulled back out of the path of a bus.

A lively, engaging, witty play. The investigation of character is about as deep as Stoppard ever goes; he's more interested in ideas and verve. At times, I could not help feeling that the exposition was a bit forced, and I was disappointed by the presentation of Thomasina, who comes off as much older than thirteen in the early scenes, and I don't mean on account of her brilliance.

One of the best things I have ever read. It's just a masterpiece.

VALENTINE: And everything is mixing the same way, all the time, irreversibly... SEPTIMUS: Oh we have time, I think. VALENTINE: ... till there's no time left. That's what time means.
