love this i like the way all the mains are intorduced tho it is a little long and i thouroughly enjoyed the ending Tamora Pierce absolutely rocks!

Isn't just about Sandry, but all four kids. It was a bit long in the intro about how they were isolated. Should have moved them right to Discipline Cottage and cut the dorm business. Was a good introduction book, but could have used more specific info on Sandry.

It was very interesting and i would love to read it again.
