The book had more about the fair then I thought it would. I was more interested in hear about the murders than the history. So, three quarters of the way into the book I was slightly disappointed. That was erased with the last chapter on Holmes. All in all I found the book fascinating and I am ready to visit Chicago.

if you like historical fiction, esp based in the US around turn of the century, I definitely recommend this book!
