Loved this book!  One of the best books out there on Mary Tudor aka Bloody Mary.  I loved reading about her childhood to her brief reign as Queen.  It made me have much sympathy for her.

Ms. Plaidy is an acquired taste. You really have to be into the history, because it's not the most interesting of reads.

I confess, I never used to have much sympathy for Mary Tudor, being such a fan of Elizabeth, but this story changed my view on her. You really feel sorry for her and her lot in life, and realise just what a short end of a stick she got. It makes the actions of her later life more understandable. Great historical fiction.
