This book, following "The Gunslinger," was just as engrossing as the first. As a bonus, this is where you get to meet most of the main characters.

This is the second book of the "Dark Tower" series and it doesn't miss a beat. It is fast-paced and continues the story in just the way you want it to. The plot keeps moving along and yet we feel no closer to the Dark Tower than we were when we started.
