The minute I started reading the first page, I could not put the book down till I am done with the last page.A novel of history and romance beautifully intertwined that transports you into another world of cherry blossoms, women's palace and the time of war.A book that is highly recommended to spend your time reading.

Anybody who is interested in Japan in the 1800's should read this book. It is fiction intertwined with real historical events during the end of the shoguns and the beginning of Imperialistic Japan.

Fascinating book and an easy read. Using the crumbling of Japan’s Shogun era as a background, the book unfolds a great story full with details of both emotions and physical surroundings. I liked it.
