it was an entertaining book that kept me on my toes. However, I'm not sure that I agree with the protaganists that bad/selfish/corrupt politicians should be assassinated. That's a bad road to go down...at one point a character made a comparison to the US and the fall of Rome. If he knew his Roman history, he would know that political assassinations were a huge part of what turned it from the Republic into the Empire. That bothered me. A little violent for me, too. But overall, an ok book.   hide

For anyone concerned about the path government has taken with spending priorities and international relations, this (and much of Flynn's series) is a must-read. It's strange, but I personally was torn because while I was disturbed by the "villains" methods, I was strongly sympathetic to their motives.   hide

The only thing missing is Mitch Rapp. I was very pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love Vince Flynn's later work - some of the best I've ever read, and many times, an author's first work is not quite as good, but I loved this book.   hide
