it was an entertaining book that kept me on my toes. However, I'm not sure that I agree with the protaganists that bad/selfish/corrupt politicians should be assassinated. That's a bad road to go down...at one point a character made a comparison to the US and the fall of Rome. If he knew his Roman history, he would know that political assassinations were a huge part of what turned it from the Republic into the Empire. That bothered me. A little violent for me, too. For anyone concerned about the path government has taken with spending priorities and international relations, this (and much of Flynn's series) is a must-read. It's strange, but I personally was torn because while I was disturbed by the "villains" methods, I was strongly sympathetic to their motives.

Quite fun if you enjoy a book where the bad guys really get their comeuppance. No subtlety, and always frun to see politicians (especially American ones) getting it.

The only thing missing is Mitch Rapp. I was very pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love Vince Flynn's later work - some of the best I've ever read, and many times, an author's first work is not quite as good, but I loved this book.
