This was a strange book. A Young Reader Best Seller....??? It addresses topics I, personally, would consider inappropriate for young readers. Maybe I am just too conservative? These topics include, but are not limited to, drugs (pot, LSD, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.), homosexuality, molestation, rape, masturbation, suicide, etc. I suppose if addressed in a different manner I could see how this...more

Amazing. Informs your own feelings of loneliness and desolation and growing up in another character's voice. Makes loneliness feel less lonely.

This book is intoxicating into the mind of the boy that not one of us knows are even cares to know. It makes the human in us realize people have their reasons and sometimes their really isn't more to the picture than what we see, but maybe we are caught up in a false reality to see that the ones we think are strange acctuley are the ones who have it all figured out.
