Grave Secrets (Temperance Brennan Novels)

Took me awhile to get into this book however I enjoyed reading about the history of the twenty-three Guatemalan massacre victims. It is fascinating to know that Reichs actually helped with this case and was apart of identifying the remains.

I am totally in love with Kathy Reichs' books and her forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan! This is the fifth book in the series and is another facinating ramble through the science of forensic investigation. In this outing, we find ourselves in a double investigation in Guatamala. Volunteer Tempe works to identify the bodies of civil war victims found in a mass grave. After two associates are attacked, Tempe is called in by a local policeman to assist in investigating of a possible modern day serial killer. Are they connected somehow? It's up to the sleuthing Dr. Brennan to find out. I enjoyed the book, but not as much as the previous novels. I have read many of the Temp. Brennan books this one I admit is a little slow, most are not. I still found it a good read. As I love the show Bones, I am trying to read all of these books.

Enjoyable

This is book #5 in the series. They just keep getting better!

Good plot, but too pro-embryonic stem cell research. Most of what was mentioned that ESC can cure can already be treated with ADULT stem cells. It's not a clump of tissue, its a human being. Other than that I enjoyed it.
