more I am totally in love with Kathy Reichs' books and her forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan! This is the fifth book in the series and is another facinating ramble through the science of forensic investigation. In this outing, we find ourselves in a double investigation in Guatamala. Volunteer Tempe works to identify the bodies of civil war victims found in a mass grave. After two associates are attacked, Tempe is called in by a local policeman to assist in investigating of a possible modern day serial killer. Are they connected somehow? It's up to the sleuthing Dr. Brennan to find out. I enjoyed the book, but not as much as the previous novels. Note: The series should be read in order to appreciate Reichs' ability to build a continous story arc.
