I had a difficult time beginning this book, but once I started I couldn't stop. This is not an exciting page turner, rather a story that seems to slowly wrap us into the characters lives. I found myself thinking about the book while I was at work, eagerly anticipating the end of the day when I could pick the book up again.

Quoyle's character was my favorite. Ms. Proulx truly captured the essence of a great father when she penned him. I do wish that more had been written about the aunt.
