Beautiful story about one of the first female settlers in Northern New Brunswick. Sally Armstrong presents readers with a heroine of strength and beauty. A beautiful story to be loved by readers of historical fiction.

I really enjoyed this book. Great description of the harsh life of the early settlers on Canada's east coast. Fascinating story of a very resourceful and resilient woman. My only necgative comment is that the end felt a bit rushed. A good read.

Fabulous read that kept me turning the pages, and very informative about past history. My only critique is that towards the end, it seemed to move along too quickly.

I didn't want Charlotte Taylor to run out of lives! I loved her story and was sad when it came to an end. A great read about a Canadian pioneer woman.
