Jazz

After Bluest Eye and Beloved, I read Jazz, and I admit I used Sparknotes. It's disturbing, it's still beautiful, it's all art -- but if a fragmented confusion is the direction where Morrison is going, I shudder at the thought of her next book.

One of Toni's more upbeat novels, but still in her strong literary fashion, you'll be surprised, shocked and work hard. It's worth it!
