I have read this book over and over...clearly jay McInerney is a huge Bret Easton Ellis fan as he bites off him a bit in this book, but a fantastic read.

I ordered this after I found out that John Edwards was having an affair with the woman that this book was based on.  That is how cheesy I am.  So far, I love it.

ok this is my fave book of all time. i do not for one second believe it was written by a man. this is the only book i have ever read twice. ps this is not the story of my life.

A pitch perfect account of New York life in the mid 1980's. Never strikes a false note. Characters from Bret Ellis novels are also woven into the fabric. If you missed the party of the 80's, this book makes you fell as though you were there. Read it or go to Norway.
